How to deal with the pain after your ears being pierced?

Always wear gold or platinum earrings for the first 6 weeks after a piercing as they are least likely to cause your body to react adversely to what is in essence a foreign body. Don't put anything on a wound, puncture or a cut that isn't antiseptic. Mashed carrot might introduce bacteria to your piercing that could result in an infection. Try instead savlon cream or the antiseptic drops that you should have been given by the person who did your piercing. Keep the earring in for as long as possible before taking it out as you run the risk of the piercing healing over. Maybe also consider not getting any more piercings for a while as you might not want to be full of holes when you're an oal aged pensioner ;-)
